The developers of Liberalist are sunsetting the traditional Liberalist log in method on May 22nd.
On Monday, May 22 you will be required to log in to Liberalist using ActionID. This email will show you how to create your ActionID and link it to your Liberalist account. Please share this link with your team and volunteers, so that they can get their ActionIDs setup before the 22nd. Fortunately, the process is simple.
ActionID
For anyone who has used MiniVAN or OpenVPB in the past, likely already has an ActionID account. The best way to test to see if you have an ActionID account is to log in on the Liberalist log in page using your ActionID account (click the topmost blue button on the Liberalist log in page, “Log in with ActionID”). If you are able to log in, no further action is required. However, if you are unable to log in, please follow the instructions below on how to create a new ActionID and link it to your existing Liberalist account.
Creating your ActionID
To create and link an Account name to ActionID, you will select Log in with ActionID when you log into Liberalist.
When the log in page loads, you should select Create Account, the tab next to Log In. This leads to a form where you provide an email, password, name, and phone number.
After you complete the account form, you will then link your ActionID to your Account Name.
The message you see will read, “It looks like you don’t have access to this site.” All you have to do is select Log in using my Liberal Party of Canada account name and password.
Once you enter your Account Name and password, select Log in & Connect to complete the process.
Finally, you and your volunteers can choose to set up two-factor authentication (2FA), an identity and access management security method. Please note that if you choose to enable 2FA, the helpdesk is unable to unlock your account for you if you lose access to the 2FA device.
